President & Creative Director (aka “Boss Lady”)

Always putting her customers’ strategic goals front and centre, Kathy has made Motive Media into the creative leader it is today. She has spent 25 years experimenting with textures, materials, and printing technologies to develop options that enhance and transform any space, from a wall to the side of a truck.

Kathy is also a Director on the board of the Toronto Transportation Club and has created the Ladies Lunch and Learn Event promoting Women in Transportation. In addition, she is a board member of the Kettleby Village Association (she lives in the quaint village of Kettleby, Ontario) is extremely active in the Movember movement for men’s health as well as Tanya’s Tushies, a group of family and friends who annually work together to raise money and awareness to fight against colon cancer.

Keenly observant, passionate and thoughtful, “good enough” is never good enough for Kathy. She is known to do whatever it takes to ensure her clients are thrilled with her company’s work, and her relationships in the industry speak volumes – she’s had some of the same clients since she started out over 30 years ago. Kathy runs her business with strength, integrity and a sense of humour that permeates throughout the office.


Which living person do you most admire? Richard Branson always successful, always kind and always doing good and risk taker.

What do you do for fun? Hang out with my family, explore the country side, dinner with friends.

What is your favourite band? That’s a hard one.  Rolling Stones, Neil Young, The Beatles, Brothers of North.

What inspires you every day? Gratitude and my Mom.

What is your greatest extravagance? Couches! I can’t stop buying them.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse? Frig, 100%, Awesome.

When and where were you happiest? Besides kids probably swimming at Bluebanks.

What’s your favourite travel spot? France.

What is your most marked characteristic? Loyalty and I NEVER give up.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?  Queen Elizabeth the First.

Who are your heroes in real life? People who are dedicated to helping others.  People who have overcome great challenges and setbacks and still remain positive.

What is your motto? Never Give Up but that comes after the Golden Rule!
